SEB can help your development team navigate local and state zoning regulations, permitting processes, financing and budgetary considerations, and any regulatory related issues. Our team works with developers as well as local and state officials to ensure that the development programs (e.g. 40B, LIP, 40R, Local Action Units, Special Permits, etc.) are fully understood, most notably the respective programmatic and financing requirements, as well as timing associated with each process. We can prepare all the requisite paperwork and applications and spearhead the team through the public hearing process, to the extent requested by the developer. SEB has extensive experience preparing and reviewing development pro formas, negotiating with local officials, neighbors and developers, and successfully leveraging local, state, and federal subsidies using almost every available affordable housing financing source.
Our work has involved a broad range of housing types in a number of different communities, including large subdivisions, small condominium developments, HOPE VI developments and co-housing communities.
All of our work involves some type of affordable housing for various demographic groups.
